About the Society

A society for how Langley is built — and how it changes.

A society for those who care about how our urban communities grow and change, from professionals to interested residents.

Who we are

The Langley Urbanist Society is a registered British Columbia non-profit society. We bring together planning professionals, students, and engaged residents to research, document, and learn about how our community is built.

We are not an advocacy organization. Our focus is on producing useful, well-documented work — case studies, council meeting summaries, field counts, and maps — and on building a local network of people who work on or care about cities. We publish our data and methods so anyone can use them.
